Month by Month Breakdown
January: Snow lover's paradise, -5 to 8°C, heavy snow cover across Manali and Solang.
February: Heavy snow continues, skiing available at Solang, one of the coldest but most scenic months.
March: Snow starts melting, fewer crowds, transitional weather with patches of snow still visible.
April: Spring begins, higher mountain roads start opening, greenery returning to the valley.
May: Peak season starts, best all-round weather, Rohtang generally open, busiest month begins.
June: Busy peak season continues, Rohtang open, warm days and pleasant evenings.
July: Monsoon begins, landscapes turn lush green but travel can get wet with occasional road risk.
August: Heavy rain continues, some road risk on hill routes, generally our least recommended month.
September: Perfect — post-monsoon clarity, empty roads, off-season prices. This is our personal pick.
October: Apple harvest season, some of the best photography conditions of the year, off-season pricing.
November: Snow begins at higher altitude (Rohtang, Solang), clear skies, quiet roads and hotels.
December: Snow arrives in Manali town, peak season kicks in from 20th December through New Year.
